' Missing camp oh so badly.

Confirmation Camp 2009.

ONE word : A W E S O M E

Camp was again back at the very nostalgic site of The Farm.

Ahh. It surely brought back all those memories from May.

That three days, we were in a world of our own.

No worries, problems all put aside.

It was just US. And GOD.

And of course, who can ever forget Martin Jalleh?

What an amazing man. :)

Since Rally '06, I am so glad to be able to meet him again.

He, always seems to make a connection with you through his sessions.

Right into your heart.

I have learnt many things from him in those three days.

Thank you. We all thank you.

I miss HIS amazing sense of humor & sarcasm.

Who can EVER forget his trademark sarcastic laugh?

Yes, WE were the ones trying to impersonate him when we were washing the dishes. ;)

On the other hand, Anabanana & Sharon survived camp!!

Except that Ana couldn't call Jett about the match on Saturday due to bad reception.

It's okay, ANA! Not watching LIVE won't KILL you! :)

Hey girls,

stay away from Aaron West, Michael Harman & Sheldon Roy.

They. LIKE. LOVE. Bullying.

And they have issues with hair and hair bands. Like SERIOUSLY.
xD

To the obvious and if not, expected highlight of Saturday..

We had an AWESOME time PONDING!!

Bleh. Yes, the good old friend. Our ORGANIC pond.

Did I forget to mention that the morning before games, many of us saw Uncle Andrew like, hosed the dog poop into the pond?

o.O

Moving on.

I think I got thrown in no less than 6 or 7 times.

Most to the courtesy of Mikey, again. Twice to Shawn.

But, it was FUN. Even though the thought of the ahem, poop, grossed me out.

Ahh, Crackers is still here!

And she has given birth to her kittens!

Still as manja as ever la, that cat. :)

Carried her a couple of times. :)

PS: Sheldon hates cats. So he doesn't dare touch me when I am with Crackers. He mostly scowled and grimaced. xD

Oh, and she rejected Alex's personally bought catfood. Haha!

All in all,
camp was really:

Physically exhausting,

Mentally tiring,

Emotionally draining,

but,

WE have definitely grown those three days.

WE have got to know each other not only as friends, but ONE united family.

Hey guys, this is to ALL of you who made our camp so special!

Thank you, Lord. For making this one heck of a time!

:)

Even though now, it's back to facing the harsh realities of life,
We can look back and say that this was the turning point in our lives.
A little change, that's all it took.
We can say that we did something worthwhile.
To everyone, you made camp special and worthwhile.
Yes, I am okay. Don't worry.
The Lord will take care of everything else.
Besides, I KNOW they support and love me.
They always do.
Just not in ways that they are not comfortable in.
Thank you for all your support, encouragement & love.
I know that I also have have a family here to count on too.
Thanks, for everything. I love you guys.
Lord, with your strength, I know I can face anything.
You were always there for me.

Thank you.

Moments to love.

Second Training Camp

awesome;tiring;voice-straining;spiritual;hilarious

My day started on Friday night.
Ivy called.

LizzieIvy

......

You're doing praise & worship tomorrow night,
not on Sunday morning..
HAH?!
(Eyes bulging)

The girls slept in the old rooms of the original Sunday
School classes in SIC while the guys camped out in the 1st floor rooms.

Man, I think my spine is VERY straight from sleeping on
hard floors with only a sleeping bag!
But,
No complains.
It's good for my back.
;)

Ahh,
the smells of Maggie Mee from the
highly acclaimed and proudly christened-
the 'MAKAN ROOM'!

Miss it laa...

We finally learnt our Theme Song.

Strictly confidential.

At first I had mixed feelings about it,
but at the end,
we managed to spice up things a bit.
So, not bad.
Not BAD at all.
(:

Sessions were really educational
& really allowed us to bond even more closely with each other.

Personal prayers and all...

And we also got to know really random stuff about each other!

Like,

Elizabeth Chang doesn't like people to touch her hair.
Jonathan got first in class. (Maybe another Aaron LXT in-the-making?)
Anne says she is impulsive and her face gives it away.
Ashviina loves singing but can't sing. (*rolls-eyes. She says.)
Dominic Tam likes to create chaos before he sleeps.
Jeanne wants to be a international actress.

& tons others. (:

Dramas were finally distributed.
Scary la.
Imagine acting with 200++ pairs of eyes
staring at you.
Uh huh.

I 'heart'

'I've been(a) shot(a)!'

Italia;Cina

xD
You all should know.

Graduates;Team;Coordinates
You guys deserve it all.
<3

Thank you, Lord.
For such a blessing.

'Cos I'm

Dead tired.

My voice box is strained.

I just want to plop on my bed...

lizzie
Needs
sleep.
Needs
rest.
Needs
honey.

And there's still add math homework to go...
The horror.

Before I forget,

MeBen

Hey do I look soft?
(gestures to the light blue shirt he's wearing)

Huh? Soft?

Yeah, soft!

Err... Why?

My Guardian Angel said I look soft in this T-shirt! What the hell man!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

When they reveal the GAs I am gonna ask the fella man!

Haha, yeah. You can 'zha' the fella la..

Yeah, I WILL 'zha' the fella!

Ben's guardian angel turned out to be Michael B. (:

MeZack
(We were playing Action Names.)

Hey, Elizabeth! What are you saying for Z?

Err. Zuper-dee-duper! *laughs

Hahahaha!

Oh yeah. Elizabeth Chang's is Zoom-Zoom!
(Points to Liz beside me.)

Zoom-Zoom? LOL

In the end, Zack used Zuper. I stuck with my Zuper-dee-duper. (:

AlexAll

She ate the crackers!
(gestures to the pregnant kitty.)

Let's name her Crackers!

Hey Crackers! Hi Crackers!/ Hey Crackers!

Crackers became our unofficial mascot. (:

MeLizChang

Hey Lizzie!

Eh, I thought we decided to call me Liz, and you Lizzie?

Aiyah! Never mind la. Anything's fine!

Haha! Hey Liz!

Heyy Lizzie!

(laughs together)

I think we call each other Lizzie now. (:

Awesome times. <3

Memories to last a lifetime.

Yes, I know.
I should be studying. (x

But some things are worth it.
(:

I really really miss camp now!
It was awesome!
For the '09 Team, the unofficial theme was,
you guessed it : ORGANIC.
Organic food, organic fruits, organic pond, you name it.
I think it all started with Dominic Tam.
That's what the guys were saying anyway.

After school on Fri,
Danielle & I walked home together.

She said that The Farm is friggin cold in the morning & insisted that I bring my sleeping bag along.
'Course, I was thinking cool, not cold, 'cos I didn't see how cold a place can get in M'sia.

Anyway,
I slept on my sleeping bag,
woke up in the middle of the night,
shivering like there was no tomorrow.

And, I had to go through all the trouble to unzip my bag quietly,
so I managed to unzip it halfway before deciding I just couldn't
tahan any longer and lifted, snuggled into my bag.
Lol.

Oh,
and we woke up at 4++ on the first morning. (:

Actually, it was Odelia & Liz Chang who got up first to bathe.
Which I followed lead half an hour later.
Course, with the girls sleeping upstairs,
the boys who were sleeping 'outside'/on the porch woke up due to hearing the squeaky staircase when we tip-toed down.

Poor Ben & Alex.
They didn't bring any blanket or sleeping bag.

Their towels were their best friends the whole night & of course,
they were freezing cold.

Oh yeah, the chickens.
You know, those chickens start crowing/roosting/making whatever noises at 3a.m all the way to 6a.m.
Very annoying.
And at 5a.m. on the first morning, the dogs joined in.
Nothing like a good wake up call.

We played the Guardian Angel game too!
My mortal was Dominic Gan.
Haha, I was like sending him messages regarding the chickens & stuff.
My guardian angel however, turned out to be a real surprise.
Judging from the messages I received, my first thought was this fella is a girl.
Well, my GA turned out to be Andre instead,

Lol.

It was a surprise seeing him walk towards me with a pink balloon on his hand when it was time to reveal all the guardian angels.

All in all,

camp was fun, sweaty, awesome, amazing, emotional, inspiring....

Really, I couldn't have hoped for more. (:

Thanks for all the messages, wishes and blessings by the graduate team, team '09 & of course, my GA, Andre.

The happening people. ;)

I look forward to being part of this new family & to the amazing days ahead.
God bless! (:

Anticipation.

and no, its definitely NOT exams. (:

My advice is, I think many people are going to flunk mid-term,
so just go along with the flow.

First-training camp is on this Friday!

Can't wait to get there even though the prospect of exams is
b-u-g-g-i-n-g
the small corner of my mind.

Either way, this will be one of my last posts until exams are over and done with as I am a lil' distressed over exams.

'Still then.
=]

On hiatus.

' It was spicy-er than panas.

SIC YOUTH RALLY 2008.
Made it this year and absolutely
LOVED it despite the bad food, horrible toilets & squeaky beds.
It was the bomb! Even though it was in a NS camp. (Oh, the horror!)

Moments to share___

I got to meet all of my SIC friends again, especially Geraldine Lee. =)

Met lots and lots of new friends, like Catherine, Jennifer, Ashley & Dalica dears. =)

Loved all the praise and worship sessions, and dancing to all those catchy tunes.

'Dancing with the Lord' night was fantastic. I danced & sang til' my voice became hoarse.

My bunk mate, Elizabeth Chang. Haha. Met her in SIC Youth Rally '06. Call Elizabeth/Lizzie and two heads will turn to look at you.

Our squeaky bed. At first I thought I was too heavy or something cos' when I climbed up the ladder would squeak loudly and if I turned or move on the bed, it would squeak too. Thank gosh I experimented on Cat's bed. Besides, I could hear Lizzie's bed squeaking below too. =)

Bathroom sessions were...well, you don't wanna know. Every morning the basin will be filled with bugs. Eww.

Loved the second day of games. Obstacles and stuff. The monkey bar really reminded me of my kindergarten days in Venus.

The cordials were really yucky-sweet and I still remember the chicken from the first night. Stiff and hard like anything. Took me forever the get it down my throat.

Being there made me realize how much I missed SIC. I swear I will go back there if its the last thing I do!

Inner healing was very emotional. Well, I pretty much needed it as some people know what I have been through beginning of this year. It really gave me a sense of peace.

Hearing my 'Parent Message' spoken by Uncle Edward in the hall. You know, the one he was saying from group 7 that did an auntie joined the group or something? The one he read the most? Yeah, I wrote the whole thing. Gosh, I feel so old. Haha

Thanks to Mongkol (I think that was his name) from Thailand for the gift. So endearing larh.

Danced and danced in those little time we had to polish our dance moves. Great news, guys! My tight jeans survived! It didn't split! Although I think it became a little looser.. Remind me to never do a split in my tight jeans again. LOL.

Running for the bathroom was a hilarious sight. I remember running like crazy just so I don't need to line up... and forgetting to bring my shampoos out and need to run back again!

Remember that lame cartoon? I can't believe I survived it...=D

Seeing weird/hilarious pics of Gerry taken by Joshua(Aeria?). Thank gosh he didn't take any of mine.. Or so I think anyway.

I love the wacky cool water bottle they gave us! Have you seen a mineral water bottle the shape of something alcoholic? Never right? Cool rhino was to coolest 'booze' I've ever drunk!

Vaguely remembering bullfrogs... *mooo mooo*

Seeing Gerry so fascinated with the slime like detergent.. Haha, she went an re-filled every er, bucket? Just for the kicks. HAHA!

I absolutely loved the 'Everything' skit. IT WAS FABULOUS! Congrats team '08!!!

Family night was awesome! I don't think I have ever cried so much just in one concert! Even during 06 I only shed a tear or two. I had Gerry comforting me every now and then.. Jennifer too!! It was so emotional for me when the theme song and 'You needed me' started playing.. I just kept shedding tears...

My face was surprisingly clean except for the pink cross on my forehead and the blue one on my right cheek! Haha. I guess my tears simply washed them away. My last 'splash' of paint was from Justin, who smeared my eyelids. It was all gone. xD

A lot of songs stuck into my head and kept on singing them in my head. (Not just the theme song)

Couldn't sleep the first night ; slept through the second night and wanting to sleep somemore ; waking up with puffy and swollen eyes the third night.

Getting so many hugs on the Family Night! I cried throughout the way! Oh yeah. Joshua Heng, yours made me unable to breathe dear. ;D

All in all, I really missed ya, Gerry dearie. Thanks for being there for me even without seeing each other for a whole year! Loveeee ya, woman!

Guess what?

I have decided to come back to SIC next year. =)

Receive the power.
SIC Youth Rally '08.
